Under Chapter 11 of the Local Government Act 1999, Part 1, a council must prepare and adopt a management plan or management plans for its community land if -
(a) the land falls within the ambit of section section 194(1)(b) or (c); or
(b) the land is, or is to be, occupied under a lease or licence; or
(c) the land has been, or is to be, specifically modified or adapted for the benefit or enjoyment of the community.
Following the relevant consultation under the Act, the Corporation of the Town of Walkerville adopted the Community Land Management Plans, for community land within the town, at its meeting held on the 16th December 2016 reviewed and adopted the Community Land Management plans for the town.
