The Eastern Health Authority is managed by a Board comprising elected members from the City of Burnside, Campbelltown City Council, the City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters, the City of Prospect and the Corporation of the Town of Walkerville.
The members representing Walkerville Council are Councillor Carolyn Wigg and Councillor Heather Wright.
The Eastern Health Authority provides a wide range of environmental health services on behalf of the Walkerville Council such as:

- Licensing of supported residential facilities
- Registration and monitoring of cooling water and warm water systems
- Management of environmental sanitation
- Needle disposal
- Investigation of infectious diseases
- Training and education programs
- Immunisation programs
