Tree Replacement Schedule

Council has approximately 3,650 street trees, the majority of which are mature specimens. To ensure that the Walkerville area maintains its leafy character, council staff are adding new trees where possible and removing older trees when they are in decline or are a risk to the public. It is our aim to plant an additional 3% of tree stock each year (either through new trees or replacement of removed trees) to ensure that there is a continual introduction of new trees.
