Walkerville Transport Strategy Survey now live!
UPDATE: The Walkerville Transport Strategy Survey has now closed and the consultation material will be under review before being presented to Elected Members.
The Walkerville Transport Strategy Survey is now open and Council is seeking feedback from the community.
We want to hear from you about any traffic and safety issues within the Town of Walkerville area, which you feel needs to be addressed.
The feedback from this consultation will assist in informing Council’s 2023 Transport Strategy, which aims to create a plan for an integrated transport system that best services the residents, visitors, pedestrians, cyclists, motorists and public transport users, who use and move through the Town of Walkerville.
Council’s Group Manager Assets & Infrastructure James Kelly said this survey is an opportunity for community members to provide valuable feedback on the traffic and transport conditions in the Township.
“This feedback will be vital in informing our new Transport Strategy,” Mr Kelly said.
“Community members will be able to play an active part in developing this strategy and to assist in bettering the transport and travel experiences of people who live, work, visit and go to school in the area, as well as those who are travelling through.”
There are a number of ways you can be involved in the Transport Strategy consultation:
- Visit Council’s engagement website – Your Say Walkerville – for further information and a background report.
- Complete the Transport Strategy Survey by clicking here.
- Attend one of two community drop-in sessions at the Civic and Community Centre to complete the survey – where there is also the opportunity to speak to traffic consultants, Council staff and Elected Members:
- 10am-11.30am on Saturday 18 March 2023
- 5.30pm-7pm on Monday 20 March 2023
In addition to the Transport Strategy Survey, a more detailed written response can be submitted via email to walkerville2023@stantec.com.
Consultation opens at 9am on Monday 27 February 2023 and closes at 5pm on Friday 31 March 2023.
