Soul Song Choir
Join the Soul Song Choir to sing in the pub, a choir but not as you know it! They don't sing because they’re happy – they’re happy because they sing! The group sing a lively pop repertoire for fun and welcome anybody, regardless of musical experience or ability. With no auditions and no need to read music, the Choir are expert at getting everybody singing and giving them space to both find and lose themselves in the music.

Council provides opportunities to community members to get involved and give back to the Township.

Walkerville Knitting Group
A group of ‘tight-knit’ crocheters and knitters who meet regularly to knit and crochet items for charity groups, including newborn clothing for the Country Women’s Association or cuddly crochet animals for Vinnies and the Women’s Crisis Centre.

Environmental groups:
Always looking for volunteers, local environmental groups undertake working bees in multiple locations across the Walkerville Township.
These groups aim to improve native vegetation and boost local biodiversity at sites along the Karrawirra Parri (River Torrens). Groups meet all year round.
At their regeneration consolidation sites, planting, weeding, mulching and watering are the main activities. There are also areas in the development phase where there can be extensive planting, terracing and expansion of original sites. The extent of commitment by their volunteers is, of course, entirely up to the individual.

Lansdowne Terrace Riverbank Revegetation Group

A group of locals created a Walkerville arm of the South Australian Road Runners Club, which regularly catches up to run around the Township. Open to all runners, including beginners or more experienced runners.
