Local Governments can prepare action plans that respond to the requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act 2018 (Act), requires South Australian councils to prepare a disability access plan (DAIP). The DAIP says what councils will do to enable people with disability access and be included in council places, services, events, employment and government representation.
The DAIP represents the Town of Walkerville's commitment and contribution towards progressing the objectives of the Act. The Town of Walkerville is committed to creating and supporting an environment that is free of discrimination and proactive about facilitating access and inclusion.
