The Town of Walkerville is one of three member Councils of the Highbury Landfill Authority. The other member Councils are: Norwood, Payneham and St Peters and The City of Burnside. The Charter specifies the roles and responsibilities of the authority. The role of the Authority is to oversee and fund the rehabilitation of the Highbury Landfill site.
