Kanopy is a superior video streaming service for quality, thoughtful entertainment including movies, documentaries, foreign films, classic cinema, independent films and educational videos that inspire, enrich and entertain.  Kanopy offers an ad-free experience that can be enjoyed on your TV, mobile phones, tablets and online.  Especially for children, Kanopy Kids offers a range of movies and shows only available to subscribed public libraries.

This service is free to Walkerville Library members (up to 5 credits per month).  If you’re not already a member, please visit the library website to join up.

The Libby app allows you to borrow a massive range of OverDrive eBook and Audiobook titles.  Titles include classics, new releases, non-fiction and bestsellers for all ages.  Borrow anytime and enjoy automatic returns with no late fees.

BorrowBox also offers library members a vast range of free eBooks and audiobooks and can be access via PC/laptop, Apple and Android devices.

Online Learning

LinkedIn Learning (formerly Lynda.com) is a premium online learning resource offering thousands of courses in business, technology, design, animation, photography, music, personal development, using the web and more!

Using a PC/laptop will give you more advanced features and a better viewing experience.

Access here and sign in with your “X0” or “D0” barcode number and PIN.

You can also install the LinkedIn Learning app for Apple or Android.  When you open the app for the first time, you will be prompted to enter library ID sapln, youcan then sign in with your “X0” or “D0” barcode number and PIN.

Family History

Ancestry.com Library Edition provides access to an extensive range of genealogical resources from the United States and United Kingdom, including census, vital, church, court, and immigration records. It also provides some Australian coverage.

Access is only available using the computers within the library.

English Language Training

IELTS is the International English Language Testing System, the world’s proven English language test.  Road to IELTS is a self-study IELTS preparation course produced by the British Council to help candidates prepare for the IELTS exam.  It provides access to free online self-study materials to support IELTS General Training and IELTS Academic test preparations.
