Walkerville Library COVID-19 Step 3 restrictions
From 6 July 2020
Due to COVID-19 Step 3 easing of restrictions, in addition to the library’s standard Conditions of Entry as displayed on our website, the following temporary entry conditions currently apply.
TEMPORARY ADDITIONAL CONDITIONS OF ENTRY:
- Opening hours will be temporarily limited to 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
- On arrival library visitors must attend the Concierge Counter for further instructions.
- Sanitiser provided must be used prior to entering the library.
- 1.5 metre social distancing needs to be practiced.
- A two-hour time limit in the library applies based on SA Pol and SA Health recommendations.
- Limited public PC’s are available to book onsite for short periods, along with printing, copying and scanning facilities.
- We ask that contactless (card) payments are made wherever possible.
- Do not attend Walkerville Civic and Community Centre if you or anyone in your group has any symptoms of cold or flu.
By entering the Walkerville Library you accept the above Conditions of Entry and any person failing to observe these requirements may be asked to leave.

You can access many of the following online resources directly from the Libraries SA app along with searching the library catalogue and scanning any book, DVD or CD barcode to see if it is available in our libraries, plus much, much more!

On the login page choose “library and Groups”, search for South Australia, search “OneCard”; select “Library – South Australia Public Library Network” and login with your library card number and PIN.
eBooks & Audiobooks
The Libby app allows you to borrow a massive range of OverDrive eBook and Audiobook titles. Titles include classics, new releases, non-fiction and bestsellers for all ages. Borrow anytime and enjoy automatic returns with no late fees.
Please note: Due to licensing, this service is not compatible with Kindle e-Readers.
Thousands of lynda.com video training courses for animation, music, business, design, IT, photography, using the web and more are available at home.
Libraries SA is also listing a range of South Australian public library virtual children’s pre-school programs on their Libraries SA YouTube channel for everyone to access and enjoy.
Ancestry.com Library Edition provides access to an extensive range of genealogical resources from the United States and United Kingdom, including census, vital, church, court, and immigration records. It also provides some Australian coverage.
Whilst access is usually only available using the computers within the library, for a limited time until 30 April 2020 you can access this service remotely.

English Language Training
IELTS is the International English Language Testing System, the world’s proven English language test. Road to IELTS is a self-study IELTS preparation course produced by the British Council to help candidates prepare for the IELTS exam. It provides access to free online self-study materials to support IELTS General Training and IELTS Academic test preparations.
