Town of Walkerville Council Member Gifts and Benefits Register
Any gift received by a Council Member above the value of $1,000 must also be included in the respective Member's Primary and Ordinary returns as required by Schedule 3 of the Local Government Act 1999.
The threshold amount governing when a gift or benefit must be registered is $50 as published in the Government Gazette by the Minister. There is a requirement for the Council Member to advise the CEO and that this information be recorded within the gifts and benefits register.
The register is updated quarterly and is also available for inspection at the principal office of the Council.
