Our community

The Town of Walkerville prides itself on its village feel and is a thriving community that works together. Council aims not only to be flexible and ambitious, but also to enhance diversity and inclusivity within the Township. It aims to promote heritage and open space, foster a stronger economy and support a leadership that fosters a unique and safe environment for its community long into the future. There is enormous potential of a small village in creating identity for our residents and businesses. To achieve this, the Town of Walkerville works significantly to reflect on past achievements and challenges, explore new opportunities and make sound governance decisions. As a Council, we understand that the wellbeing of individuals is linked to the wellbeing of our community. Just as we plan for infrastructure, open spaces and traffic management – Council also has a role in fostering the wellbeing of its community.
