Levi Caravan Park

Levi Caravan Park

Lansdowne Terrace, Vale Park

The park is home to the heritage-listed Vale House.

Levi Adelaide Holiday Park (formerly Levi Caravan Park) is set in a tranquil location on the banks of the River Torrens, only 4km from the heart of Adelaide.

It is the Township's only caravan park and is a great attraction for those wanting to stay close to the city – particularly for events such as the Adelaide Fringe – which helps to assist the local economy as tourists visit Walkerville Terrace and surrounds.

Nestled on the bank of the River Torrens, the beautiful gardens and trees offer summer shade and walking paths with well-maintained grounds. Accommodation includes riverside villas, cabins, caravans and tents.

The park is also home to Adelaide’s earliest colonial residence – the heritage-listed Vale House. It was built in the first five years of white settlement in South Australia. The house was occupied by several early colonists including Captain Edward Frome and William Clark. In 1853, it was purchased by well known influential businessman and pastoralist Philip Levi. Vale House became a popular centre of social activity for the Adelaide gentry. It remained in the Levi family until 1948 when Philip’s sole surviving niece left the property to Council. It has now been adapted into four separate heritage apartments, promoting the period features of the building, plus a gallery of early artworks.

Council owns the park and it is run by Across Australia Parks & Resorts Pty Ltd, which is currently in the process of undertaking a multi-million dollar redevelopment, expected to be completed in early 2022.
