We have a range of resources in various formats that are free for customers to borrow. These include:

Books (fiction, non-fiction, large print, paperbacks, children & teen)

DVDs & Blu-Rays

Graphic novels

Sit, relax and enjoy while you peruse our range of newspapers, including The Advertiser, The Australian, and Financial Review or the latest issue magazine titles. Our collection of Local History books can also be used in the library.

Reader Requests

If you have a suggestion for a title not available at Walkerville, just fill in the form here and email to library@walkerville.sa.gov.au or pick up a hard copy at the library


Borrowing Limits

You can now borrow up to 100 items per card, which includes:

up to 20 DVDs/Blu-rays

up to 20 CDs (Children's and Teen collection only)

Items available for 4 week loan:

Books (excluding heavily requested titles)

Graphic Novels

Audio/Talking Books

Items available for 2 week loan:

DVDs (max 20)

CDs (max 20) (Children's and Teen collection only)

Blu-Ray Discs (max 20)

Magazines (excluding latest issue)

2 renewals per item permitted as long as the title has not been requested by another borrower. Renewals can be done online (login into My Account), in person at the Library, by email library@walkerville.sa.gov.au or over the phone on 8342 7150.


Services

Joining the Library

Bring in photo identification (drivers licence, passport etc) with your current address and our friendly staff will have you signed up in a matter of minutes. If you are already a member of another consortium library, there is no need to join Walkerville. Simply use your existing card to borrow.

Local History

We have a good selection of Local History materials available in the Library. Whilst these are not available for loan they can be perused in the library. Please email library@walkerville.sa.gov.au to submit your local history query and our staff will be happy to assist.
