2023 Community Survey

Town of Walkerville engaged market research agency McGregor Tan to undertake the 2023 Community Survey to gauge the community's perceptions and contentment on various significant domains - such as health and wellness, parks and reserves, roads, communication and engagement with the Council, along with an evaluation of the Council's performance and operations.

The results shows that the Town of Walkerville is outperforming other councils in overall community satisfaction, along with a range of other areas such as customer service, parks and consultation.

The positive results follow a six-week engagement process.

Key outcomes from the 2023 Community Survey include:

• Higher satisfaction rating at 3.5 (out of 5), compared to benchmarked surrounding councils (average satisfaction rating of 3.3 out of 5).
• Majority of people are satisfied with the Council performance.
• 74% satisfaction with the About Town publication.
• 77% feel safe and secure in the Town of Walkerville.
• Over 65% of the community were satisfied with the helpfulness & knowledge of staff, responses from Council, their experience interacting with staff, and felt they received the information they were asking for when engaging Council.
