The biggest Walkervillage Christmas Fair yet!

Town of Walkerville held its 2024 Walkervillage Christmas Fair on Sunday, 17 November 2024, with an estimated 3,000 people in attendance to the community fun day.

This year's event was full of fun, laughter, delicious food, great entertainment, fabulous stallholders and, most importantly, a thriving community!

Robert Taylor returned this year to perform a special Welcome to Country and Didgeridoo performance.

The hilarious Pavola-eating contest had the crowd both excited and horrified by how much Pavlova our contestants were able to consume!

Council also added in the new tree decorating competition, where contestants had to unpack a tree and decorate it. There were two prizes to be won - the quickest tree decorated and the best-looking tree. This new event was full of manic decorating, flying tinsel, rolling baubles and impossible-to-undo string lights.

Santa was in attendance, taking the time to meet all the children who visited the Walkervillage Christmas Fair.

There were performances from local school choirs, including St Monica's Parish School and Walkerville Primary School, and a local cover band, brass band and DJ kept the merriment going throughout the day.

There were a variety of market stalls and food vendors providing a multitude of wares and food to attendees. And free face-painting, caricature drawings and rides were popular attractions for families and children.

This year’s event was another resounding success for Town of Walkerville, and Council looks forward to holding the event again next year!
