Our new Walkerville Recreation Centre

Council is excited to announce that it has officially decided on its new name for the 39 Smith Street recreation centre project.

YOU helped name it!

The W, our new Walkerville Recreation Centre.

After an overwhelming response to one of our biggest engagement activities to date, it became clear that there was a strong favourite theme.

The YOU Name It! Competition showed that the community wanted something simple, recognisable and proudly Walkerville.

Council have been able to move ahead, knowing the community’s voices pointed us in the right direction.

The winner of the YOU Name It! Competition will be revealed soon!

The W – our new Walkerville Recreation Centre - is on track to be delivered by the end of the year.
