The W: Walkerville Recreation Centre opening soon
From Monday, 12 January 2026, The W: Walkerville Recreation Centre will be opening its doors to the community - providing fun, movement and connection to all in the Township.
There are a range of sports and recreational activities available at The W, providing a variety of competition sports, gymnastics classes, dance sessions and much more.
The W has just released its 2026 Program Guide, which was recently delivered to all letterboxes in the Township.
Centre-run programs include:
*Wallaby Workout ($5 per family);
*Walkerville Youth Connect ($5 per child);
*Social Pickleball ($5 per session);
*Social Badminton ($5 per session);
*Social Table Tennis ($5 per session);
*Walk(erville) Basketball ($8 per session);
*Walk(erville) Netball ($8 per session); and
*and a mix of exercise programs ($8-$10 per session).
Any Centre-run classes or sports do not require you to book in advance. Just turn up and play!
All payments will be processed on the day of the class or sport session.
You can also purchase a Fitness Pass or Social Sport Pass, where you can receive access to six classes or sport sessions for the price of five.
Any services provided by external hirers at The W need to be booked through the details available in the 2026 Program Guide.
