Harmony Week Citizenship Ceremony

On Wednesday 18 March 2026, the Walkerville Town Hall was filled with applause as Mayor Melissa Jones conferred citizenship on six new citizens during Harmony Week.

These residents have come to Australia from across the globe, including China, United Kingdom, South Africa, Philippines and Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China.

On the day, Mayor Melissa Jones said, "Harmony week plays an important role in strengthening social cohesion, and helping Australians build a sense of belonging, understanding for each other, respect and connection across diverse backgrounds.

We welcome each and every one of you with open arms into our community".
