- Sunday 30 January 2022, majority of works completed within the week
- 6pm-7am each night
- No works undertaken on Saturday nights
On behalf of the Department for Infrastructure and Transport, Boral Asphalt will be completing asphalt resurfacing works on Stephen Terrace, between North East Road and Walkerville Terrace.
Works are scheduled to begin on Sunday 30 January 2022, with the major bitumen works expected to take approximately one week. This will be followed by line marking and other ancillary items, expected to be completed by late February 2022, weather permitting.
A notice will be distributed to impacted residents on Friday 21 January 2022, to inform them of the changes.
To safely facilitate these works, a series of temporary road closures and detours will be in place from 6pm to 7am each night of the works.
During the works, access will be restricted through the area of work, with intermittent restrictions to some side streets off Stephen Terrace, where necessary.
Access will be maintained for emergency services vehicles and public transport at all times, as well as local resident and business movements, where possible.
Some noise disturbance can be expected while these works are completed, however, it will be managed to minimise disturbance as much as practically possible.
Where required, signage will be in place to direct pedestrians and cyclists to alternative routes. Every effort will be made to minimise impacts to the community.
There is no change to public transport services.
These works are being undertaken to improve the safety and quality of the road for all users.
If you have any questions or have specific access requirements for your property, please contact the Department for Infrastructure and Transport.
