Serving up new tennis netting
Council’s three tennis sites across Town – Willow Bend, Levi Park and Gilbert Street – are now open to the community after receiving upgraded surfaces, netting and line marking.
As part of the project, new resurfacing was undertaken to bring the courts up to current playing standards, along with basketball rings at Willow Bend and Levi Park.
Council asks the community to be mindful of all users and be considerate of others when it comes to sharing the courts.
The following is a breakdown of works undertaken at each of the three sites:
Gilbert Street tennis courts
New tennis netting and asphalt surface in August, followed by new blue acrylic surfacing in September.
Levi Oval tennis courts
New tennis netting for both courts, basketball ring, two netball ring provisions, new asphalt repairs, followed by new blue acrylic surfacing and line marking in September.
Willow Bend tennis courts
New tennis netting for both courts, basketball ring, new asphalt court resurfacing, followed by new blue acrylic surfacing and line marking in September.
