The W: Walkerville Recreation Centre

From community sport and children's playgroup, to inclusive programs and local events - The W: Walkerville Recreation Centre is a vibrant hub of recreation and leisure activity.

The W includes a multi-purpose, two-court stadium, catering for basketball, netball, pickleball, badminton and volleyball, as well as other activities including gymnastics, dance and community events.

The facility opened to the community in January 2026.

The project was co-funded by the Office of Recreation, Sport and Racing (ORSR). Council thanks the State Government and State Member for Adelaide, Lucy Hood MP, for their support.

Council is also in the process of planning for the redevelopment of its existing works depot, on Fuller Street.
