It's registration time!
From Thursday 1 July 2021, dog and cat owners will start receiving their dog and cat, breeder and dog business registration renewal notices. Pet owners should receive renewal notices within the next week and they must be completed by Tuesday 31 August 2021.
In South Australia, cat microchipping and desexing is mandatory and owners must register this information in Dogs and Cats Online. You do this yourself at Dogs and Cats Online by following this easy guide.
All Councils, the RSPCA, Animal Welfare League and most vets use Dogs and Cats Online as the number one tool for identifying lost pets to find their owners.
How do I register my dog or cat online?
Go to www.dogsandcatsonline.com.au
- Select register
- Select register my new animal
- Enter microchip number, desexing ID or transfer code and your surname. If you have not been given these details, select unknown
- Check if you have an account—if so, select it and proceed without logging in, or continue as a new owner
- Ensure your details are correct
- Complete registration and pay any applicable fee.
