Q&A with Jay

Q: What is a fun fact about yourself?
A: I deal with all types in my day job but don’t ask me to mess with anything that has eight legs.

Q: What keeps you busy in life?
A: My life is kept busy through work with SAPOL and Council, sitting as a member of various boards/committees, studying and spending time with my family. I love to stay active by regularly going to the gym and cycling. I wouldn’t have it any other way – if I could give some advice, it would be to not hit snooze on that morning alarm.

Q: What is your favourite part or place within the Township?
A: Without a doubt, riding my push bike along the Linear Park trail with my wife and daughter. I still time myself, regardless of my slow pace.

Q: What is your key area of focus while on Council and what do you hope to achieve as part of this?
A: My focus is on the functional collaboration of the Council and Administration to achieve our major projects. I hold great importance in our community use areas and I am keen to maximise their value to all of our ratepayers.
